Obey all motor vehicle and road traffic laws in accordance with the motor vehicle and road traffic act of Trinidad & Tobago.
Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle at all times
Always use a phone mount or pull safety aside and bring vehicle to an immediate stop before responding to any passenger requests
Dress appropriately while on Caby duties (t-shirts, long pair of jeans/pants, sneakers or shoes is accepted) no vest, bare feet, slippers or 3/4 jeans are allowed at any time.
Help your passenger with bags or luggage if needed
Contact the passenger if needed for directions to pickup location
Be professional, courteous and respectful at all times
Report any personal items left in vehicle by passenger
Ask passenger if the air condition is at a suitable temperature
Report all accidents or incidents to the nearest police station at your earliest and immediately inform Caby of all details of all accidents and incidents.
Arrive late for confirmed passenger bookings without properly informing dispatch operator and passenger that you will be late for pickup
Arrive at passenger pickup location with other persons in your vehicle
Pickup other passengers while performing ongoing trips
Cancel trips while en route to passenger drop off location except in cases where driver feels unsafe or in emergency situations. E.g. mechanical difficulties, health reasons etc. Dispatch operators must be immediately informed upon cancellation of any trips
Drive over the speed limit or recklessly to endanger yourself, the passenger or public
Text and drive
Drink alcohol, smoke or Vape while on active Caby duties
Use inappropriate or obscene language
Steal or damage passenger property
Contact passengers after the trip has ended
Sexually harass or make inappropriate advances or gestures towards passengers
Discriminate against passenger based on ethnicity, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or political affiliation
Music played must not be offensive, obscene, abusive or excessively loud to passenger’s ear
At the end of each completed trip both driver and passenger are asked to rate each other on a scale of one to five stars, as well as provide feedback on how the trip went. This two-way system holds everyone accountable for their behavior. Accountability helps create a respectful, safe environment for both drivers and passengers. Your rating is based on an average of then number of post-trip stars that you are given (from 1 to 5 stars).
A driver cancellation is when you accept a passenger request and then cancel the trip. Cancellations create a poor user experience and negatively affect the passenger. We understand that there may be times when something comes up and you have to cancel an accepted trip. this is why we asked that all drivers contact us before or immediately after any cancellation is made so that we can assist, investigate or resolve any conflict or problem that may have occurred.
